Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform planning and scheduling activities for infrastructure projects including stormwater, roads, and utilities
• Review and validate contractor baseline schedules in accordance with contract conditions and company practices
• Develop master schedules that integrate multiple packages and account for interdependencies
• Evaluate progress schedules to identify potential delays, critical events, and necessary mitigation measures
• Conduct "What if" analyses to assess the time impact of changes, variations, and potential events
• Prepare regular progress reports, program analyses, and presentations for management and clients
• Perform detailed assessments of claims, including Extension of Time (EoT) and disruption, using advanced delay analysis methodologies
• Coordinate with contractors and employers to resolve scheduling problems and finalize programs
• Monitor critical issues during design and construction stages through trackers and logs
• Maintain proper records of project contemporary data and issue delay notices when necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution
• Minimum 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling for infrastructure projects (stormwater, roads, sewerage, utilities, etc.)
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Power BI
• Registered as a practicing engineer in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
• Possession of a UAE Equivalency Certificate
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English

• Strong ability to use professional judgment and collaborate effectively within diverse teams
