Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform planning and scheduling activities for large-scale infrastructure projects including stormwater, roads, sewerage, and utilities.
• Review and validate contractor baseline schedules to ensure compatibility with project resources and contract conditions.
• Develop master schedules that integrate multiple packages and account for interdependencies.
• Evaluate progress schedules to identify potential delays, critical events, and necessary mitigation measures.
• Conduct "What if" analyses to assess the time impact of changes, variations, and potential events.
• Prepare regular progress reports, program analyses, and presentations regarding major milestones.
• Perform detailed assessments of claims, including Extension of Time (EOT) and disruption, using delay analysis methodologies.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors to resolve scheduling problems and finalize programs.
• Maintain proper records of project contemporary data and issue delay notices when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling for infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Power BI.
• Registered as a practicing engineer in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
• Possession of a UAE Equivalency Certificate.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.

• Arabic language proficiency.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Proven ability to use sound judgment and collaborate effectively within diverse professional groups.
