Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain baseline schedules using Primavera P6
• Create WBS structures, activity sequencing, resource loading, S-curves, and histograms
• Prepare 2-week, 4-week, and 6-week look-ahead programs
• Update schedules weekly/monthly and analyze progress vs. plan
• Identify variances, assess critical path impacts, and prepare planning reports and dashboards
• Monitor engineering, procurement, and authority approvals against schedule needs
• Maintain delay/change event registers and support Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) submissions with schedules and as-built data
• Coordinate with site teams, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors
• Review subcontractor schedules for alignment with the master plan
• Maintain planning documentation, revisions, and as-built records

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Planning Engineer
• Primavera P6 Certification (required)
• Proven experience on high-end residential, villa, or mixed-use projects
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and progress measurement
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the UAE
• PSP® (AACE) certification
• PMP® certification
• TIA/Delay Analysis training
