Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, timelines, and milestones for airport infrastructure and operational projects
• Analyze project requirements and constraints to create realistic, achievable planning strategies
• Coordinate resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential project delays
• Prepare and present comprehensive planning reports and performance metrics to stakeholders
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and construction teams to ensure alignment
• Monitor project progress against established baselines and implement corrective actions
• Manage budget forecasting and cost control measures
• Utilize project management software and planning tools to track project status
• Ensure compliance with airport operational standards and safety regulations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational optimization

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of planning engineering experience
• At least 3 years in airport or aviation related projects
• Expertise in airport operations, terminal planning, runway development, or ground handling
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools
• Strong knowledge of CAD software and planning visualization tools
• Experience with resource scheduling, budget management, and cost control
• Proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools
• Knowledge of airport safety standards and aviation regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with airport expansion projects or terminal modernization initiatives
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction standards and local regulatory requirements
