Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain resource capacity models and loading plans for engineering teams.
• Identify over-allocation, under-utilization, and skill constraints to propose optimization strategies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly resource utilization reports and management dashboards.
• Support manpower cost budgeting and track actual vs. planned engineering hours and costs.
• Maintain high-level engineering schedules and integrate procurement, FAT, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate resource deployment across engineering, procurement, and site activities.
• Identify resource and cost-related risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Automate Excel-based models and reporting tools to improve planning processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, or related field).
• 3-5 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and control for engineering or EPC projects.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis).
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into actionable management insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Planning or Project Controls certification.
• Experience with ZOHO project scheduling and progress tracking.
• Exposure to Instrumentation, Controls, and SCADA (IX) projects across the project lifecycle.
