Planning & Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), resource-loaded schedules, and recovery plans.
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines and identify deviations through earned value analysis (EVA).
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and performance indicators.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, and budget performance, assisting in forecasting and variance analysis.
• Identify schedule and cost risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Evaluate extension of time (EOT) claims and variations from a planning perspective.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to ensure schedule alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred) from an accredited university.
• 5–7 years of experience in planning and project controls within civil construction projects.
• Proven experience working with civil construction contractors.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, Project Control, Cost Control, Risk Management, and Delay Analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and AutoCAD.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification.
