Planning and Scheduling Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of integrated project and refinery maintenance schedules.
• Establish and enforce planning and scheduling standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Develop baseline schedules including scope, sequencing, dependencies, and resource loading.
• Monitor schedule performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, and what-if scenario modelling.
• Partner with Maintenance, Projects, Engineering, Operations, and Procurement stakeholders.
• Facilitate planning workshops and communicate schedule status and risks to leadership.
• Develop and maintain planning and scheduling dashboards, KPIs, and progress reports.
• Optimize planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, JDE, and Power BI.
• Mentor and coach planners and schedulers across the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum Trade Certification.
• Proven experience in a Planning and Scheduling leadership role, ideally within Oil & Gas or heavy industry.
• Extensive project management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Proficiency in CMMS systems such as SAP or JDE.
• Advanced expertise in MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong skills in critical path analysis and progress measurement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in complex projects, maintenance programs, or asset-intensive environments.
• Exposure to enterprise-level planning.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
