Planner/Buyer Sr

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and contract compliance.
• Lead the planning and purchasing of materials to support production requirements, including managing ECOs and expediting parts.
• Monitor material plans and take proactive action to mitigate risks regarding customer requirements and inventory targets.
• Utilize advanced planning tools to model, simulate, and release optimized material plans and master schedules.
• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving MRP problems.
• Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN tools (A3, PDCA, 5Why).
• Interface with cross-functional teams including engineering, sourcing, production control, logistics, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 5 years of experience in planner/buying functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of shop operations, production control, and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in Oracle ERP (or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Kaizen and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
