Planner/Buyer

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules and manage manufacturing work orders for sub-assemblies and finished goods
• Review MRP schedules and consignment Kanban requirements to determine material needs
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet customer demand and troubleshoot bottlenecks
• Evaluate finished goods demand to identify material shortages or inventory constraints
• Manage the purchase order process, including tracking outstanding orders, updating costs/quantities, and resolving vendor delays
• Collaborate with engineering on BOM changes and work with sales/customer service to expedite urgent orders
• Drive process efficiencies and participate in continuous improvement projects

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or procurement
• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP
• Strong knowledge of MRP and Kanban methodologies
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• APICS certification
