Planner Estimator

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, estimate, and coordinate work orders for the repair, maintenance, and addition of physical facilities.
• Maintain liaison with department facilities coordinators and discuss requests with University department heads.
• Identify maintenance needs and provide building lists for the Division of Facilities Management.
• Act in the absence of the Area Manager when required.
• Develop project costs and write technical specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of managerial experience in industrial or institutional project work or the maintenance field.
• Ability to read construction drawings and write technical specifications.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and mathematical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience planning and managing complex projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Gantt charts.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Lead Paint Certified Renovator certification.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
