About the role
Responsibilities
- Undertake key category and divisional analysis to monitor sales, inventory, and replenishment to maximize productivity and profitability
- Analyze competitor pricing policies to inform range planning and ensure pricing strategies support financial objectives
- Prepare sales projections for stores and assist in developing new store inventory plans
- Prepare Open-To-Buy (OTB) budgets to support merchandise strategy and buying needs
- Provide analytical support to buyers regarding promotional strategies and periodical merchandise management
- Proactively identify style or SKU-specific issues and propose solutions, including reorders and allocation recommendations
- Reconcile top-down to bottom-up category plans and review end-of-season actuals against cost estimates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Statistics
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English (both written and spoken)
- Minimum 3 years of OTB planning experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong numeric sense and commercial awareness of fashion retail trends
