Piping Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead the piping scope of heavy industrial projects, managing foremen and craft workers to drive productivity, safety, and schedule adherence.
• Serve as the primary liaison between field engineering and craft teams to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain efficient workflow and sequencing.
• Assist in project planning, including developing schedules, determining labor needs, and managing material and equipment requirements.
• Establish and manage budget expectations for the piping scope, implementing cost control measures throughout execution.
• Set and enforce high quality and safety standards, ensuring all work meets code requirements and client specifications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the self-perform construction industry.
• 3+ years of experience in a Superintendent role managing foremen and piping or mechanical craft employees.
• 3+ years of direct experience in piping construction.
• Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and engineering drawings.
• Ability and willingness to travel to various project locations across the United States.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in heavy industrial environments such as refineries, petrochemical facilities, or manufacturing plants.
• Understanding of state-specific journeyman-to-apprentice ratio requirements.
