Piping Stress Engineer

Responsibilities

• Carry out necessary calculations to ensure all loading conditions are considered within the piping system design
• Ensure piping systems comply fully with specified stress analysis requirements
• Issue approved stress isometrics for critical lines as required
• Prepare stress calculations, nozzle load summaries, and Stress Analysis Reports demonstrating Code compliance
• Confirm design of piping, pipe supports, and special piping (SP) items aligns with ASME codes and industry standards
• Perform flexibility analysis using Caesar II software
• Manage support selection, support design, and support drawing creation
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Utilize Navisworks for model review and plant layout coordination

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 4-18 years of experience (depending on seniority level: Tech, Sr. Tech, or Principal Tech professional)
• Proficiency in Caesar II software for flexibility analysis
• Strong knowledge of Navisworks for model review
• Deep understanding of ASME codes, industry standards, and pipe support design
• Experience with Fatigue/Blast, FPSO Hog, Sag, and structural considerations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-center project execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AIV/FIV (Acoustic Induced Vibration / Flow Induced Vibration)
• Experience with PML macros development
