Piping Material Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare Piping Material indices and Piping Material classes for Process & Utilities
• Develop valve datasheets and Piping Specialty item datasheets
• Write technical and purchase specifications for bulks, valves, and other components
• Manage metallic piping systems including Carbon, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, and Low Alloy Steel
• Manage non-metallic piping systems such as GRE, GRP, FRP, and HDPE
• Perform design calculations for pipe wall thickness, vacuum conditions, branch reinforcement pads, bends, and spectacle blinds
• Prepare technical and material requisitions for piping bulks, valves, and specialties
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and manage vendor clarifications
• Review and approve vendor documents and drawings

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent field
• 6-10 years of experience in Onshore or Offshore environments
• Extensive knowledge of metallic and non-metallic piping systems
• Thorough understanding of International Codes & Standards
• Proficiency in design calculations and material management tools
• Strong communication and coordination skills across various disciplines and vendors
