Piping Designer

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Piping and Layout Draftsmen to execute 3D CAD modeling and construction drawings.
• Design, execute, and check typical Piping and Layout studies, including 3D modeling and clash check reports.
• Produce construction or design drawings using 2D software or extracted from 3D models (plot plans, equipment layouts, GA, isometrics, and supports).
• Extract Bill of Materials (BOM) and other necessary information from 3D CAD models.
• Coordinate team work with project Piping and Layout engineers and oversee resource mobilization.
• Supervise document updates following inter-discipline checks or external stakeholder comments.
• Provide engineering support during the construction and start-up phases.
• Contribute to the department's improvement system by sharing lessons learned.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Design-Piping Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10+ years of professional experience in piping design.
• Verifiable experience working within an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling and 2D software.
• Expert knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong command of the English language.
