Piper II

Responsibilities

• Lay out, install, and assemble refrigeration piping and components on manufacturing units
• Measure, cut, bend, and install copper and steel tubing
• Cut and braze refrigeration components and install valves and tubing
• Perform mechanical layouts of secondary and CO2 systems
• Pressurize units and conduct leak checks to ensure system effectiveness
• Study technical drawings and plans to determine optimal placement and installation
• Assist with the training of Piper I employees
• Utilize various tools including tube cutters, power benders, and torches

Requirements

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or one year of related experience/training
• Proficiency in basic algebra and geometry
• Strong problem-solving skills to handle practical variables in non-standardized situations
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions
• Demonstrated capability to meet all Piper I requirements and pass the Piper II test
