Pipeline Metering Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage safe operations of billing meter stations by performing calibrations, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs.
• Comply with Safe Work Permit processes, including lock-out tag-out, pre-job plans, and hot work permits.
• Perform detailed maintenance and testing of instrumentation and electrical equipment to ensure efficient pipeline operations.
• Troubleshoot and modify programming of pipeline control systems, including flow computer operations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and one-line diagrams.
• Perform mechanical tasks such as valve operations, equipment installation, and pipe fitting.
• Coordinate daily activities with operations and supervisory personnel to maintain workflow.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and trade school education focused on Electrical or Instrumentation, or an Associate degree in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience in the field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation, control, and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic control systems and measurement equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Valid State Driver’s License and ability to travel to remote locations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and respond to callouts, including weekends and holidays.
