About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the implementation of the Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the planning and execution of Direct Assessment (DA) assessments.
  • Analyze transmission pipeline data to identify High Consequence Areas, pipeline threats, and appropriate assessment methods.
  • Prepare excavation plans, technical exhibits, and remediation plans to ensure pipeline safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Document all aspects of the transmission pipeline integrity management plan, including assessment reports and technical documentation.
  • Manage assessment budgets, process invoices, and administer contracts with third-party vendors.
  • Coordinate with permitting authorities, landowners, and internal stakeholders to execute assessment activities.
  • Monitor integrity assessment and remediation schedules to ensure progress toward regulatory deadlines.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in Project Management.
  • Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineer In Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Engineering discipline in Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials.
  • Experience in gas utility operations or transmission pipeline integrity.
  • Knowledge of regulatory codes and industry standards (e.g., 49 CFR 192, ASME B31.8).
  • NACE credentials.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s in Engineering or MBA).
