Pipeline Inspector

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, codes, standards, and regulations
• Participate in daily safety meetings, tailboards, and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs)
• Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe acts or conditions are identified
• Verify contractor compliance with site-specific safety plans and quality requirements
• Oversee integrity dig activities including excavation, trenching, backfilling, restoration, welding, coating, and related construction activities
• Review and verify Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation
• Identify and report construction, safety, and quality non-conformances
• Complete daily inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation
• Work collaboratively with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders

Requirements

General Inspector

• 3+ years of General Inspection experience
• API 1169 Certification
• API 1184 Certification
• Knowledge of pipeline construction processes
• Oil & gas pipeline or industrial facilities experience

Coating Inspector

• 2+ years of Coating Inspection experience
• API 1169 and API 1184 Certification
• AMPP/NACE CIP Level 1
• Knowledge of coating inspection codes and standards

Welding Inspector

• 8–10 years of Welding/Welding Inspection experience
• API 1169 and API 1184 Certification
• CSA W178.2 Level 1 or Level 2
• Knowledge of CSA Z662 and/or ASME B31.3
