About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop scope of works, design philosophies, and criteria covering system design, routing, pipe sizing, hydraulics, and material selection.
  • Perform installation analysis, including spanning, buckling, walking, and constructability reviews.
  • Manage pigging strategies, piggability studies, and in-line inspection tool selection.
  • Conduct integrity assessment and assurance activities such as Fitness for Service (FFS), corrosion evaluations, and remaining life studies.
  • Support greenfield and brownfield projects through technical reviews of design basis, specifications, and vendor deliverables.
  • Participate in technical safety workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, and risk assessments.
  • Interface with suppliers, contractors, and multi-discipline teams to ensure alignment with company expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Materials, or Marine Engineering.
  • 3-15 years of professional experience in oil and gas pipeline engineering.
  • Expertise in both offshore and onshore pipeline systems.
  • Proficiency in pipeline and riser related software such as DNV Suite, CAESAR II, Orcaflex, or Abaqus.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with FEA or programming tools (e.g., Python, Matlab).
  • Ability to work in shifts (1:30 PM – 10:30 PM IST) and flexibility for international travel (<10%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of applying pipeline engineering codes and standards such as ASME, API, or DNV (e.g., ASME B31.4/B31.8, API RP1111, DNV-ST-F101).
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with PODS and GIS related tools.
