About the role
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install PVC components and piping according to project specifications and engineering drawings
- Cut, join, and fit PVC materials using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect PVC components for defects or damage to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area adhering to health and safety policies
- Assist in inventory management of PVC materials and report stock levels
- Collaborate with production team members and project engineers to meet schedules
Requirements
- Knowledge of industrial and municipal water industry concepts
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly and PVC/ABS pipework installations (1/2" to 12")
- Recognised qualifications in health and safety and mechanical installation/maintenance
- Understanding of health and safety practices relevant to PVC fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
