Pipefitter Chargehand

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of Pipefitters, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety regulations
• Plan and coordinate piping installation activities based on project specifications and deadlines
• Review blueprints and technical drawings to determine installation requirements and resource allocation
• Perform hands-on pipefitting work as needed while overseeing team operations
• Inspect completed installations for quality and compliance with industry standards
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other trades
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Provide regular training and guidance to team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pipefitter
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or chargehand role
• Strong technical knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications in pipefitting
