Pilot Car Driver

Responsibilities

• Follow or precede oversize loads throughout the transport process
• Ensure equipment compliance before each departure
• Maintain safety for road users and cargo
• Manage traffic flow when necessary
• Follow routes indicated on circulation permits
• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, hitching, and securing cargo
• Comply with road safety and occupational health and safety regulations
• Perform physical route inspections

Requirements

• Class 5 driver's license with driving experience
• Availability for trips ranging from 1 day to 2 weeks
• Ability to travel to the United States with a valid passport
• Excellent driving record
• Bilingualism in French and English
• Experience with Class 1, Class 3, or flatbed is an asset
• Experience with heavy machinery is an asset
