Pilot (Ardupilot)

Responsibilities

• Configure and optimize flight controllers based on ArduPilot
• Set up PID controllers, EKF, and filters to ensure stable and safe flight
• Select and test propulsion systems according to required flight characteristics
• Conduct ground and flight testing of UAVs
• Pilot multirotor and fixed-wing platforms during testing and configuration
• Independently research, analyze, and apply technical documentation

Requirements

• Confident experience working with ArduPilot
• Practical experience configuring PID, EKF, and flight filters
• Experience selecting propulsion systems (motors, propellers, ESC, batteries) for UAVs
• Understanding of drone power electrical system principles
• Experience with ESC configuration and calibration
• Practical LOS and FPV piloting experience of multirotor UAVs in manual modes (Acro/Airmode), specifically platforms 10–60 inches and takeoff weight from 10 kg
• Experience LOS piloting of planes or wings in Manual mode or FPV piloting of fixed-wing types
• Ability to independently find solutions and work with technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Soldering skills and experience with professional mounting and measuring equipment
• Experience designing multirotor UAVs (quadcopters, hexacopters, X8, coaxial, octocopters)
• Experience with Orange Cube, H743, F405 flight controllers
• Experience integrating payloads (gimbals, cameras, thermal imagers, servos)
• Practical experience with Betaflight, PX4, or INAV
• Experience with UAVs with internal combustion engines
• Experience configuring and piloting non-standard UAV configurations (bicopter, tricopter, VTOL)
• Experience LOS piloting 600 class 3D helicopters
