Pickup & Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and courteous pick-up and delivery services for gases, cylinders, and cryogenic tanks
• Operate commercial vehicles, such as flatbeds and cylinder trucks, in compliance with company policies and provincial traffic laws
• Load and unload gas products at customer sites and company facilities using appropriate material handling equipment
• Plan daily routes based on dispatched items and manage the loading/offloading of trucks
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
• Maintain professional customer relationships and address delivery inquiries
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including hazardous material handling and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Valid Class 3 or DZ driver's license
• Clean driver's abstract and CVOR (please attach current abstracts dated within the last 30 days)
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, including cylinders weighing at least 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles in a pick-up and delivery capacity
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, including DOT and provincial Hours of Service (HOS)
• Basic mechanical aptitude for performing vehicle inspections and minor checks
