Picker/Loader

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment including lift trucks, pallet jacks, and electric battery handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform accurate data entry into the SAP ERP system
• Load and unload trailers following all internal and external requirements
• Handle and store materials, ingredients, and chemicals in approved locations following safety and spill prevention procedures
• Follow FIFO and inventory control practices to maintain stock integrity
• Stage batch ingredients and materials to ensure continuous production line operations
• Conduct pre and post-usage inspections of materials to ensure they meet specifications
• Maintain department housekeeping and environmental controls
• Comply with all GMP, Food Safety, and federal/state/local dairy food regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food manufacturing (dairy experience preferred)
• Ability to obtain lift truck certification (Class I-V) per OSHA regulations
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely drive a company vehicle
• Working understanding of food manufacturing standards including SQF, HACCP, SOP, 5S, and GMP
• Strong math and technical skills, including the ability to operate equipment touch panels
• Ability to lift 45-50 lbs frequently and 50+ lbs with assistance
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and physical demands
• Flexibility to work various shifts in a 24/7 facility, including weekends
