Altum Health is a department within the University Health Network providing a full continuum of prevention, rehabilitation, and health care services to third party payors and individuals, including the WSIB, employers, and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Empower and support clients through recovery using hands-on knowledge of orthopedic disorders and chronic pain
• Facilitate rehabilitation and return to work for injured workers
• Collaborate with stakeholders including clients and treatment teams to reach functional potential
• Perform cross-functional and cross-site duties as assigned
• Provide group education sessions and lead small group learning
• Maintain detailed insurance reporting and case management documentation

Requirements

• For Physiotherapists: Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• For Chiropractors: Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and registration with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario
• Strong evidence-based, rehabilitation orientation
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
• Proficiency in report writing and insurance documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience treating work-related injuries, MVA, or within the third-party healthcare system
• Experience in hand therapy
• WorkWell certification
• Strong Functional Abilities Evaluation (FAE) and Return to Work planning skills
