Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care including consultation, assessment, and treatment planning for patients
• Implement and evaluate individually designed physical treatment programs to improve cardio-respiratory health and physical functioning
• Focus primarily on patient care within the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit
• Deliver education to clients and staff and participate in continuing education
• Maintain compliance with the Regulated Health Professions Act and the Code of Ethics of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or a recognized equivalent
• Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Minimum of one year of related clinical experience
• Experience in an acute care hospital environment
• Proficiency in oxygen titration and suctioning

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
• Experience in the assessment and treatment of critical care, surgical, oncology, or cardiac patients
