Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement individually designed physical treatment programs to improve or restore physical functioning
• Conduct patient assessments, education, and treatment for spinal cord injury rehabilitation
• Disseminate clinical knowledge to patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in inter-professional rounds, clinical evaluations, and relevant committees
• Contribute to service planning and maintain timely, comprehensive clinical documentation
• Assist in the training and oversight of students and volunteers
• Provide coverage in various areas of the organization as needed to support patient care

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent
• Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in neuro rehabilitation
• Experience specifically in spinal cord rehabilitation
• Experience with electronic charting (e.g., EPIC)
• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
• NDT/Bobath certification
• Experience with wheelchair provision or as an ADP Authorizer
