Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy), Active registration with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, 2 years neuro rehab experience preferred, Spinal cord rehab experience preferred, NDT/Bobath certification preferred, Wheelchair provision experience preferred, ADP Authorizer preferred, EPIC electronic charting experience beneficial

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement individually designed physical treatment programs to restore functioning and prevent dysfunction
  • Conduct patient assessments, education, and treatment for individuals within the Spinal Cord Rehab Program
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team through participation in inter-professional rounds and committees
  • Provide clinical documentation, workload statistics, and contribute to service planning
  • Engage in the training and oversight of students and volunteers
  • Contribute to the advancement of professional practice and clinical evaluations
  • Maintain awareness of safety factors for patients, residents, employees, and visitors

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent
  • Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the job

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in neuro rehabilitation
  • Experience specifically in spinal cord rehabilitation
  • NDT/Bobath certification
  • Experience with wheelchair provision
  • ADP Authorizer status
  • Experience with EPIC electronic charting
  • Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
