Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment and consultation of physical function
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare professionals
• Examine and re-evaluate treatment outcomes
• Coordinate education for students, learners, hospital staff, and the community
• Conduct practice-based research and participate in quality improvement activities
• Perform administrative duties to ensure efficient operation of the Family Health Team

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent
• Registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Minimum one year of related clinical experience
• Experience in assessment and treatment of neurological, cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, and chronic disease conditions
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with computers

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
• Membership in the Ontario Physiotherapy Association
• Experience in primary care or community care settings
• Experience in health promotion and chronic disease management
• Experience with Telus PSS EMR
• Experience in program planning, delivery, and evaluation
