Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy assessment and treatment for Musculoskeletal, Geriatrics and Multi-systems patients
• Assess for and prescribe mobility aids
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams to provide patient-focused care
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members
• Participate in program planning, development, and hospital initiatives supporting quality management and research
• Comply with patient safety responsibilities and hospital policies

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy (BScPT) or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions
• Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (B Level or C Level) Heart Saver Plus Canada
• Experience working within an inter-professional team
• Proficiency with computers
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with oncology and transplant patients
• Experience in Geriatrics
• Experience working weekends or in float roles
• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
