Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care including consultation, assessment, treatment planning, and evaluation of client-specific programs
• Implement individually designed physical treatment programs to improve physical functioning and cardio-respiratory health
• Support in-patient and out-patient Nephrology patient populations
• Deliver education to clients and staff
• Maintain competence with departmental safety, emergency, and infection control procedures

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent
• Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Minimum of one year of related experience
• Essential experience in an acute care hospital environment
• Experience with oxygen titration and suctioning
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job and exercise sound clinical judgment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Nephrology patient population
• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
• Experience in the assessment and treatment of critical care, surgical, GIM, oncology, and/or cardiac patients
