Physiotherapist

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and consultations of physical function for patients in a primary care setting.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Examine and re-evaluate treatment outcomes to improve physical functioning and alleviate pain.
• Provide education to patients, families, students, and hospital staff.
• Participate in program development, practice-based research, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of the Family Health Team.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent.
• Registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
• Minimum of one year of related clinical experience.
• Experience in the assessment and treatment of neurological, cardiopulmonary, and orthopedic conditions.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team and exercise sound clinical judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in primary care or community care settings.
• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association or Ontario Physiotherapy Association.
• Experience in health promotion, prevention, and chronic disease management.
• Experience with Telus PSS EMR.
