About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care including consultation, assessment, and treatment planning
- Implement and evaluate client-specific treatment programs to improve physical functioning and cardio-respiratory health
- Deliver education to clients and staff
- Provide backfill and float support across various patient care units within Toronto General and Princess Margaret Hospitals
- Maintain compliance with the Regulated Health Professions Act and professional codes of ethics
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Science (Physiotherapy) or recognized equivalent
- Registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Minimum of one year of related experience
- Experience in an acute care hospital environment
- Experience with oxygen titration and suctioning
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
- Experience in critical care, surgical, oncology, nephrology, or cardiac patient assessment
