About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement physiotherapy treatment programs for patients in the acute inpatient setting
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide specialist physiotherapy input for patients with complex needs, including elderly care, medicine, respiratory, and surgery
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with hospital policies
- Participate in clinical audits, research, and service development initiatives
- Supervise and support junior physiotherapists, assistants, and students
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Right to work in the UK
- Acute NHS experience
- Experience in inpatient elderly care, medicine, respiratory, and surgery
