About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide acute respiratory physiotherapy care to patients in medical and surgical wards
- Create and execute personalized treatment plans and track patient progress
- Coordinate discharge plans and ensure seamless care continuity
- Educate and support patients and their families
- Supervise Band 5 physiotherapists and delegate tasks to Band 3 and 4 staff
Requirements
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute respiratory physiotherapy
- Experience managing patients on medical and surgical wards
- Strong skills in discharge planning
- Ability to supervise and support junior staff
