About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care for WSU students, including general medicine, sports medicine, and acute care
- Deliver inclusive, student-centered care across mental health, reproductive health, and sexual health services
- Perform minor surgical procedures, dermatology treatments, and infectious disease management
- Provide patient education and counseling on family planning, sexual health, and reproductive medicine
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers and staff
- Support Cougar Health Services through non-clinical work as requested
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited residency program in an area of practice
- Current Washington State medical licensure (or ability to obtain by time of hire)
- Current DEA certification in the state of Washington
- Board certification or eligibility in a primary care specialty
- Ability to be credentialed with contracted insurance providers
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience in a primary care setting
- Previous experience in college health environments
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
