Physician

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care for WSU students, including general medicine, sports medicine, and acute care
• Deliver inclusive, student-centered care across mental health, reproductive health, and sexual health services
• Perform minor surgical procedures, dermatology treatments, and infectious disease management
• Provide patient education and counseling on family planning, sexual health, and reproductive medicine
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers and staff
• Support Cougar Health Services through non-clinical work as requested

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited residency program in an area of practice
• Current Washington State medical licensure (or ability to obtain by time of hire)
• Current DEA certification in the state of Washington
• Board certification or eligibility in a primary care specialty
• Ability to be credentialed with contracted insurance providers

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a primary care setting
• Previous experience in college health environments
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
