Physician, Student Health Services

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to students, addressing mental, physical, and social health needs.
• Manage a full range of primary care issues through online booked appointments and same-day visits.
• Participate in health promotion programming, including developing web-based information and delivering presentations on wellness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, specialists, counseling services, and accessibility centers.
• Integrate knowledge of adolescent and early adult health care within the university environment.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for a medical license to practice in British Columbia.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• CMPA or equivalent malpractice insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine or Sports Medicine.
• Demonstrated interest in mental health, sexual health, addiction medicine, or Indigenous health.
• Experience working in a post-secondary education health clinic or a community health clinic with a health promotion component.
• Proficiency with electronic medical software and word processing.
