About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify and vet specialty physicians across all medical fields, including Orthopedic Surgeons, Neurologists, and PM&R, to ensure full state coverage in California.
- Conduct strategic sourcing to build and maintain robust physician networks.
- Use computer platforms and data to analyze network gaps and monitor doctor fee trends.
- Pitch and negotiate with high-level medical specialists to secure participation in medical-legal services.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Physician Recruitment, specifically within the IME, Workers' Comp, or Medicolegal space.
- Deep familiarity with the California Workers’ Comp landscape, including the DWC, the QME/AME process, and the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability in cold-calling and professional pitching.
- Strong negotiation, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work remotely with a reliable, uninterrupted internet connection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
- 2-5 years of experience in healthcare recruitment, provider relations, or medical-legal services.
- Previous business experience in a healthcare or insurance setting.
