Physician-OB/GYN

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive women's health, obstetrical, and gynecological care in both ambulatory clinic and inpatient settings.
• Perform inpatient obstetrical care, including deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care.
• Conduct outpatient procedures and gynecological consultations, including inpatient surgery.
• Participate in a shared 24-hour call system, including after-hours phone availability and coordinating care with emergency room providers.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, specialists, nurses, and pharmacists to coordinate patient care.
• Provide patient and family education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company policy.
• Supervise and provide training to ancillary healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, medical staff committees, and required audits.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in OB/GYN.
• Minimum of 5 years of medical practice experience.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted medical license in the State of South Carolina.
• Current, valid, and unrestricted DEA registration.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain professional malpractice insurance and eligibility for public/private insurer reimbursement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
