Physician

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive on-site medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention for acute, urgent, and chronic conditions.
• Serve as the on-site medical authority and coordinate healthcare delivery activities at the assigned facility.
• Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and initial/follow-up assessments.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Manage medications within the scope of practice and DEA authority.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency stabilization and patient transfers.
• Provide clinical oversight and consultation to nursing staff, pharmacists, and advanced practice providers.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within electronic health records.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S., Canadian, or ECFMG-certified program.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Maryland Physician license (or ability to obtain one).
• Unrestricted DEA license to prescribe controlled medications.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of 1 year of post-residency experience providing direct patient care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a thorough background investigation and obtain security clearances.

• Proficiency in Spanish.
