Physician - Family Practice

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment
• Prescribes or administers pharmaceuticals, medications, immunizations, and treatment regimens
• Provides health and wellness advice regarding diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Monitors patient conditions and progress, re-evaluating treatments and explaining results
• Refers patients to specialists and relevant care components
• Directs and coordinates patient care activities of nursing and support staff
• Follows departmental policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited program
• Current Colorado medical license in good standing
• Federal DEA certification
• Board certified or Board eligible in specified area of medical specialty
• Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff office credentialing and privileges
• 3 years of directly related experience (including residency)
