About the role
Responsibilities
- Formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care in patient homes
- Perform medical evaluations and use home-based imaging studies for assessment
- Execute medical procedures including IV access, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, and EKGs
- Conduct COVID-related house calls including clinical sampling and point of care testing
- Document clinical evaluations and treatments in eClinicalWorks
- Coordinate with House Call Coordinators and interface with patients' PCPs and specialists
- Maintain properly stocked provider bags and ensure seamless hand-offs of pending labs or imaging
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license in New York
- Valid DEA license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement
- Ability to work in a fluid, multitasking environment and interface with high-end clientele
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in emergency departments or urgent care centers
- Previous experience in house calls, EMS, pre-hospital, or concierge medicine
