Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care
• Execute medical procedures including IV access, splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, POC testing, and EKGs
• Triage patient needs for in-center, virtual, or at-home care
• Conduct video telemedicine consultations when appropriate
• Document clinical evaluations and treatments in AthenaHealth EHR
• Coordinate care with After Care, house calls teams, and medical partners
• Provide empathetic, patient-centered communication to patients and families

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license in California
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required upon hire
• Strong clinical skills and technical proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Ability to work in a fluid, multitasking environment and interface with high-profile clientele

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in emergency departments or urgent care centers
• Proficiency with Slack, AthenaHealth, and Salesforce
