Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality primary medical care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting and assigned satellite sites.
• Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with credentialing and privileging policies.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, specialists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assess patient needs and arrange for specialty referrals, diagnostic testing, and inpatient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records.
• Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address complex issues impacting the health of homeless clients.
• Participate in after-hours care via call service and scheduled extended hours or weekends.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina Physician Assistant licensure.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Graduation from an accredited AAPA program.
• Minimum of 2 years of private practice experience or 1 year of experience in a community health center.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
• Spanish bilingual skills.
