Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality primary medical care to individuals and families in an ambulatory clinic setting.
• Perform diagnostic workups, laboratory assessments, and minor outpatient procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, specialists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records.
• Provide patient and family counseling regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address complex health issues, including those impacting homeless clients.
• Participate in after-hours care via call service and extended weekend hours as scheduled.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina Physician Assistant licensure.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2 years of private practice experience or 1 year of experience in a community health center.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
• Spanish bilingual skills.
