Physician Advisor

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with pre-medical applicants and medical students applying to residency
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions and provide comprehensive coaching
• Work with writing advisors to help students brainstorm and edit personal statements and essays
• Assist in medical school list creation
• Facilitate mock interviews and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in webinars, write blogs, or engage in outreach activities

Requirements

• MD or DO Physician
• Attended a US Medical School
• Previous medical school admissions and/or residency experience
• Previous mentorship of students or residents
• High availability (20+ hours per week)
• Knowledge of the medical school admissions process
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Zoom, Gmail, and Google Meet

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical backgrounds in Dermatology, Psychiatry, Neurology, Radiology, PM&R, OB/GYN, General Surgery, or Emergency Medicine
