Responsibilities
- Perform therapeutic interventions including modality treatments, exercises, and gait training
- Accurately record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts
- Measure and document range of motion, strength, and vital signs
- Report patient status to physicians and healthcare personnel
- Provide instructions to patients and families on assistive devices and home exercises
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
Requirements
- Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
- Ability to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Georgia
- Proficiency in physical therapy principles and techniques
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Basic PC skills and proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Physical stamina to assist patients with movements
