Physical Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions including modality treatments, exercises, and gait training
• Accurately record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts
• Measure and document range of motion, strength, and vital signs
• Report patient status to physicians and healthcare personnel
• Provide instructions to patients and families on assistive devices and home exercises
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment

Requirements

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
• Ability to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Georgia
• Proficiency in physical therapy principles and techniques
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Basic PC skills and proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Physical stamina to assist patients with movements
