Physical Therapy Aide

Responsibilities

• Direct ambulatory patients to and from treatment areas
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises under therapist direction
• Properly fit and position patients on exercise equipment
• Observe and report patient responses and progress to physical therapists
• Administer treatment modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold packs
• Assist hand therapists with splint making and exercises
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and follow cleaning schedules
• Perform opening and closing duties for the clinic
• Manage clinic equipment, furniture, and linens
• Perform basic clerical duties such as answering phones and filling out forms

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma
• Personable and energetic demeanor
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population
• Reliable and professional attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Pre-Physical Therapy coursework or a related field
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in Allied Health
